This is a fan page for Roi Elam one of the guitar players for the band The Material.
Roi is a super chill guy. Kind of quiet and shy, but very sweet and nice. Once you get to chat Roi up you will learn that he is happily married, and loveeeees pets! :) mostly doggies! lol He has 2 dogs of his own. He also has extremely good taste in music,from what i hear one of his faves is the Deftones! Another thing that might not be widely known about Roi is that he is vegan! i have to give him props for being vegan! it is a tough lifestyle, one i dont know if i could live! haha. One of his favorite vegan snacks is Vegan chocolate bars. He is an awesome guy and a great asset to the band i have fallen in love with…The Material! :)
so update.. right now The Material is in the studio recording their first full length album!! yes yes i am soooo excited!! i have loved their music from the second my ears were exposed and i havent stopped listening since!!Every single song is incredible and fun and catchy, but also deep in the lyrics. this band puts their hearts and souls into their music! so with that being said i KNOW their album will be AMAZING! i cannot wait to see what they walk out of the studio with, whatever it is, is sure to blow you away!
i apologize for not updating more often, they were in a transitioning stage from their old drummer Noah (we love you Noah) to their new drummer Mr. Kevin Pintado! so i am also stoked to announce their first show with their new drummer Kevin will be June 19th at the Epicentre in San Diego,Ca.. so if you can come out please do! It will be a show you do NOT want to miss, they are incredible live and would love to see your faces! :)
